Brooke.

Photos: Jack Butler Photography
Brooke's dress was made from a very special embroidered organdy that might just be a hundred years old. This dress was a little one-of-a-kind I cooked up in my studio, and it found the girl who was meant to wear it. I love when that happens.

Linen + lace = love.

I don't always get to meet the lovely young ladies who buy my dresses, particularly the one-of-a-kinds that I make for the shop when I have a few spare hours. So I was thrilled to see these photos that Jena posted on her blog--she fell in love with my little linen and lace frock, and I think it fell in love with her, too!
The linen bodice and underlay are paired with embellished tulle with lots of lace appliqués. The bodice and waist are also trimmed with smoke-colored velvet ribbon.
Doesn't she look amazing? I feel like this dress was made for her. And maybe, in some sort of cosmic way, it was. Thanks, Jena! I'm so glad that you and this dress found each other.
